Some Kilts in Kerry…

August 14, 2010 by weddingphotographerkerry

A very quick post that I will add to in the coming week. Ciara and James travelled from London to get married in Tralee. James is of Scottish descent so I had not one or two, but five groomsmen (and james) dressed in kilts and furry purses (sporran)! The sporran was very handy for storing Ciara’s lip gloss… This moment of walking down the stairs of her family home is quite exciting and scary for a Bride for many different […]

A Canadian Wedding in Cork…

August 5, 2010 by weddingphotographerkerry

I have been itching to edit this wedding of Jasmin and Danny who came from Alberta, Canada to get married in Cork. They came, not to have a big Irish wedding but a nuptial event that I would consider to be true to their character. No fluffiness but big on quality where it mattered… Jasmin and Danny had cycled around the West Coast of Ireland a few years ago and were enchanted by the landscape. They hadn’t been to Cork […]

Your Carriage Awaits…

July 29, 2010 by weddingphotographerkerry

I am pleasantly busy at the moment so I am just posting snippets of the people that I am photographing with more to follow, but for now this princess named Faith caught my eye last Saturday as she walked into the room to show the awaiting wedding party her stunning gown. Her pose says it all… The same lady had a pink dress lined up for the dance floor later! More from Myrna and Jamie’s wedding at the Sneem Hotel, […]

Have a Cuppa in Kenmare…

July 22, 2010 by weddingphotographerkerry

What amazing shop fronts in Kenmare. I could spend all day photographing the colourful doors. I photographed Jennifer & Paul recently while stopping off at the gorgeous Cupan Tae cafe (cup of tea for any non-irish speakers). We were heading to the Kenmare Bay Hotel for celebrations but a quiet cuppa was in order first…

Photographing a wedding photographer’s wedding!

February 5, 2010 by weddingphotographerkerry

So far I have photographed 4 photographers weddings from around the world but the one that meant the most was my good friend Eva Power’s wedding. Eva is also a wedding photographer. We studied photography together for three years and have known each other through good and bad so this really was special. I arrived at Carton House, Maynooth the day before the wedding as I wanted to do my usual scout around the beautiful estate. It was absolutely lashing […]

Giving away my work on dvd

February 1, 2010 by weddingphotographerkerry

As a professional photographer, I am frequently asked “Can I get all of the shots on dvd copyright free?”  There is a wide belief that because most people own their own photo printer then why can’t they print their own shots from their photographers digital files. Just like music, by law all photographers own the copyright to the images that they have taken. It is up to each individual photographer to agree to sell their images to a customer should […]

Killarney, Co. Kerry, A Stunning Place to Get Married…

January 25, 2010 by weddingphotographerkerry

I had the great pleasure of working with Lorraine & Joe on their wedding day in Killarney. They travelled from Dublin to get married in Kerry because of Joe’s family connections in Killarney. I really enjoyed working with them mainly because I knew that they appreciated good photography. I travelled over to Killarney Golf & Fishing Club and the Aghadoe Heights the day before to scout out the best angles as Joe really wanted to see the incredible landscapes come […]

Worth the wait!

September 2, 2009 by weddingphotographerkerry

Claire kept poor James sweating for about 40 minutes at the church before turning up, but time was irrelevant to Claire, she knew her man would be waiting..See more on http://www.denniganphotography.ie Luckily for me, the wait meant that I had plenty of opportunities to photograph their guests arriving at the wedding, to capture pretty special moments like this…
